Affordable Care Act Compliance

Beginning in 2015, employers with 50 to 99 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees must comply with the ACA reporting rules and complete the 1094 and 1095 forms by early 2016. Employers with 100 or more full-time equivalent employees must also complete the 1094 and 1095 forms as well as comply with the “employer shared responsibility” (or “pay or play”) rules. Beginning in 2016, all employers with 50 or more full-time equivalent employees must comply with the employer shared responsibility rules and offer affordable coverage with minimum essential benefits and minimum value or pay a penalty.
