Montclair and Trenton paid sick leave
Effective 3-4-15, paid sick leave (PSL) laws will take effect in Montclair and Trenton. Voters in both cities approved similar PSL ballot questions on 11-4-14. The laws will require private sector employers to provide one hour of PSL for every 30 hours worked in the respective cities. Employees working for employers with 10 or more employees will be eligible to earn up to five days of PSL per year, while employees working for employers with nine or fewer employees will be eligible to earn up to three days of PSL per year.
