Kevin Peternel, SPHR,CHRO

Kevin Peternel, SPHR,

Kevin has approximately 30 years of Human Resources and other senior management experience working in various positions at mid-sized organizations. He has been advising clients as a consultant and HR Strategist since 2004.

Kevin is an instructor at Upper Iowa University, has taught SPHR/PHR Certification classes at UW-Madison, has presented to numerous organizations and audiences including the Wisconsin SHRM conference and has also hosted numerous webinars on HR-related topics.

In addition to his SPHR certification, he holds a B.A. in Psychology, with minors in Communication and Sociology, as well as a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Labor Relations.

Melissa has over 10 years in the Human Resources field and has been with The Payroll Company since 2008. Prior to joining TPC, Melissa was the HR Manager for a client of The Payroll Company, where she led her company through a conversion from another processor. She is currently responsible for the business development of our payroll, timekeeping & 401(k) team, marketing, and website management.

Melissa graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management. She has been an active volunteer in the Greater Madison Area Society for Human Resource Management (GMA SHRM) and served on the Board of Directors for 7 years. In her spare time, Melissa enjoys spending time with family and friends, chasing her 1 year old son, traveling, gardening, golfing, hiking and taking road trips.

Brian Soderling,Vice President

Brian is responsible for the business development of TPC Staffing. He carries a combined 15 years of experience in various applicable areas including: Recruiting, Staffing, Payroll & HR. Initially he worked for large international recruiting and staffing companies, and in more recent years has worked to grow locally owned businesses in the Wisconsin market.

Brian graduated from Winona State University and holds a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Marketing and a minor in Business Administration. He’s an active participant in multiple community organizations and takes great pride in donating blood on a regular basis. When he’s not out networking he spends time with his family and enjoys outdoor activities all year round including golf, snowboarding, hiking, and camping.

Angela Pickel,QKA, VP of Retirement Services

Angela has the responsibility for leading the new business conversion process, serving as a liaison for our advisors and clients, and driving process improvement initiatives. Angela specializes in 401(k) plan design and compliance consultation and achieved her Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) designation through ASPPA in 2012. Angela is also a member of the Great Lakes Relius Administration User Group.

Angela brings over 14 years of Retirement Industry experience to The Payroll Company, formerly holding positions as Sr. New Business Pension Consultant, Relationship Manager, and Associate Relationship Manager.

Angela obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration – Finance/Human Resource Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Angela also serves as Treasurer for the Southwestern Wisconsin School District Parent/Teacher Organization.
